How to commission a Portrait
Photos
To get the best portrait possible and capture the personality of your pet I require good quality photographs to work from, these can me sent to me via email. If you are with 10-15 miles of York I am able to come and take your pets photograph for the portrait. The better the reference image I have to use the better the finished portrait will be.
Deposit
A deposit of 20% is required on all portraits to confirm your booking, no work will be started until this has been received. The balance is due on completion of the finished portrait once you are happy with the result.
Process/Timescale
After the image has been agreed the portrait will be completed within the given time guidelines. If you wish to see updates they will be sent as the portrait progresses.
You will be emailed a preview of your portrait before delivery or posting so any changes can be made if required. If you are not happy with your portrait the you are under no obligation to buy it. The deposit however is non refundable to cover the materials cost.
Postage/Delivery
Where possible your portrait will be hand delivered, or collected from the studio, if preferred. Where this is not possible I am happy to post unframed portraits by insured signed for delivery. I am also happy to post worldwide.
Gift Vouchers / Payment Plans/ Framing
Stuck for a gift, I also offer gift vouchers, for either partial or full payment of a portrait, they are available in a few different designs.
Payment plans are available on any portrait, but the portrait must be fully paid for before it can be delivered.
Framing is available at request, contact me for more information.
I do include framing and care instructions with every pastel, due to the nature of the pastel it will smudge if touched, each portrait will be packaged flat so that the pastel itself is not damaged in transit, it is recommended its kept in the original packaging until framing.
